Introduction to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Workshop

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy. It can help people who are experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety and depression. What people think can affect how they feel and how they behave, which is the basis of CBT. During times of mental distress people think differently about themselves and what happens to them. Thoughts can become extreme and unhelpful, and subsequently worsen, leading to unhelpful behaviours, prolonging distress.

This course will help you to identify and change ways of thinking and unhelpful behaviours to enable you to lead a more fulfilling life.

This experiential workshop is an excellent opportunity for anyone to gain awareness about their own thought patterns and enable them to learn new and more positive ways of thinking. You will also learn to develop coping strategies and techniques to manage this.

Facilitated by Christine Cooke, MBACP Senior Accredited Counsellor, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Stress Management Professional Consultant. Christine has had extensive experience of working with individuals and teaching them the skills of CBT. She is IAPT trained, so is very skilled in the use of CBT.working in groups and with individuals on a one to one basis. Christine has had many referrals from counseling organizations, companies, solicitors, probation offices, GPs and CPNs, as well as individuals to help people learn a new way of thinking so they can go on to lead a more fulfilling life.

Anger Management Workshop

Anger can be very destructive, to individuals and their loved ones. It can eat you up from the inside, leaving one frustrated at best and bitter at worst. This experiential course will give individuals insight into their anger issues, and help them to manage their anger, giving freedom of mind not previously experienced.

This experiential workshop is an excellent opportunity for anyone to gain awareness about anger and its consequences, and to learn how to avoid becoming angry in the future, and also develop coping strategies and techniques to manage this. Nowadays, anger is a common emotion for many people, which can be detrimental to ones health if excessive. This workshop will give attendees the tools and strategies to manage and control their anger.
